US ambassador Cameron Munter has expressed deep regret and apologized over the incident of entering of a US officer into Lahores Sunehri Mosque during his visit there Saturday morning without removing his shoes.Munter said I offer my sincere apologies over this incident. The team that I lead at the US Embassy and our consulates shared with me the deepest respect for Pakistans holy places. I value my visit to Sunehri Mosque and I am honored by our contribution to the restoration work there.
