Majid involved in irregularities: Justice Shahid

Head of Judicial Commission Justice Shahid Chaudhry, probing irregularities in Inter Part-I result, said that Majid Naeem had committed irregularities in purchase of equipment for introducing online system.The NAB authorities presented Majid Naeem before the inquiry tribunal headed by Justice Shahid Chaudhry. Majid Naeem said that he was recruited on a contract basis to introduce online system. “I did not fix any remuneration for this purpose; rather I rendered my services for the national interest,” he said.Justice Shahid said, “It seemed that you had intentions to earn money by unfair means; that is why you did not negotiate any salary package with the board administration.”Justice Shahid also said “you might have purchased online hardware from favourite firm to devour wealth in the name of so-called scientific development”.The Justice commented that it was difficult to evaluate the loss that the exchequer and students had to face in this regard.The hearing of the case was adjourned till November 24.
