Sources said the nominees under consideration are Salman Bashir, Gen (r) Jehangir Karamat, Lt Gen (r) Ehsan and Dr Maleeha Lodhi.Gen (r) Jehangir Karamat is the former chief of army staff, Gen (r) Ehsan is former chairman joint chiefs of staff committee, Salman Bashir is serving foreign secretary and is a career diplomat, while Dr Maleeha Lodhi is former envoy to the US.
