Summary Federal Minster for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has offered himself for conditional accountability.
He said this while arguing in a session of sub-committee of the Senate.He claimed, “About 400 railway engine shluld be provided to him. If railways department suffers loss after this, he should then be hanged.”The Senate’s committee’s session chaired by Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan was held at Railways Headquarters in which parties criticised the federal government rather than focussing on departmental mismanagement.Ghulam Ahmad Bilor insisted that if he is provided proper engines and amount, he can run the department in an ideal way. However, he conditioned accountability with provision of engines.PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rasheed said that it is impossible for government to give money again and again to a department; if the department is to be run by money from government, it should be closed.
