Summary Lahore High Court has ordered NAB to return the Sharif brothers assets captured during exile.
About 27 members of four companies including Sharif family had moved appeals in the Lahore High Court, seeking return of assets worth Rs 25 million.A two-member division bench of LHC comprising Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan conducted hearing of appeals.The petitioners’ counsels said that the NAB had taken property, share certificates and cash into custody after exile of the Sharif brothers, adding that the Sharif brothers have been acquitted of all the case, so the NAB should be ordered to return the captured assets.The NAB’s counsel while expressing his stance said that the Sharif bothers had signed an agreement with the federal government according to which their assets were confiscatedAfter hearing the arguments, the court declared the NAB’s action illegal and order to return the Sharif brothers’ assets captured during their exile.
