SC seeks explanation over ads in favour of Zaka

A two-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of the case regarding appointment of Zaka Ashraf as President Agriculture Bank.The court said that costly ads are being published in daily newspapers, seeking explanation from the Secretary Finance that on which order heavy money is being spent in this regard.The Supreme Court also directed the Islamabad High Court to settle the pending cases against Zaka Ashraf in the Intra Court Appeal within four weeks.The hearing of case has been deferred for unspecified period.
