Summary A writ petition has been filed in LHC seeking ban on rallies organized by PML-N and PTI.
The petitioner’s counsel said that PML-N, PPP and PTI installed banners and sign boards worth millions of rupees to publicize their programs. Not to speak of payment of fee to the PHA, these political parties even do not seek permission from PHA which is diametrically violation of the constitution and law, the counsel argued.He requested the court that the aforesaid parties should be ordered to remove these banners and sign boards from the Mall Road and impose ban on rallies and processions.PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, PTI chief Imarn Khan and PPP leader Baber Awan has been made defendants.
