Summary On Qurashis remarks that no formal trial of Moonis was held, SC hinted at sending the case to NAB.

The Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry said if FIA indented to get the accused acquitted, the case could be sent to NAB. Ex-DG FIA Zafar Qureshi alleged that he could not complete the report before his retirement because of the lack of cooperation by the officials.Many letters were written to secretary interior stating that courts orders were being flouted, but no answer was given. The efforts were made to thwart the investigation instead, he alleged.Many letters were also written to bring back IG Gilgit-Baltistan Hussain Asghar but in vain. Qureshi further said Javed Syed, Amin Qasim Dada, and Rana Mohammaed Ali have been declared absconders in Lahore land case, he added. CJP also asked that how Monnis Elahi’s case was separately conducted.Qureshi said Moonis attorneys filed a plea in the banking court where they misbehaved with the judge who refused to hear the case. The Chief Justice LHC sent the matter to session court for hearing.The worthy court sent notices to interior secretary and DG FIA for non-compliance of court orders. They are required to submit the answer within 7 days. The next hearing of the case will be held on November 2.
