Despite this, the Health Department seems to be indifferent to polio-awareness campaign.DCO Multan Zaid Akhter Zaman inaugurated two-day anti-polio campaign in New Shah Shms Colony in Multan. As soon as the DCO left the site, Health Department’s employees fled after removing banners and placards.According to the report, about 8 UCs of Multan have been affected by polio virus. Millions of rupees have been spent in this regard but Multan can’t be declared free of polio. It is due to negligence and cold-heartedness of the employees of the Health Department, says the report.The DCO has ordered to conduct an inquiry against the employees who violated rules and regulations.
