Summary ATC has adjourned proceedings about indictment of ex-CPO Rawalpindi and SP Rawal Town.

The indictment proceedings have been put off till October 29 in the Benazir assassination case on the request made by defence counsel Malik Rafiq due to his personal engagement.At the inception of hearing counsel for ex-CPO Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad told the court he had to attend a funeral therefore the proceedings of indictment be adjourned till next hearing.Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali, Chief Special Prosecutor, FIA said Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad could be indicted in the absence of defence counsel, therefore his presence was not necessary.Defence counsel said his presence was necessary during the process of indictment and he was to attend a funeral immediately.Fawad Chaudhry, counsel for Sehba Musharraf, prayed to the court to adjourn hearing of application filed by his client against confiscation of property and freezing of accounts of former president Pervez Musharraf. He took the plea that his sister’s marriage was ahead and he could not prepare for the case. He requested the court to allow him more time.The court while granting his request adjourned the hearing till November 5.Sehba Musharraf had taken plea in her application that Pervez Musharraf had gifted her farmhouse located in Chak Shahzad in 2002 and the accounts operating in banks were jointly opened by her and her husband Parvez Musharraf.
