Summary PPP and PML-Q have submitted a requisition in Punjab Assembly regarding establishment of S Punjab.
The requisition has been submitted by Opposition Leader Raja Riaz, Parliamentary Leader of PML-Q Chaudhry Zaheer and Mohsin Leghari, stating that people of Southern Punjab have been demanding creation of new province from many years, therefore it should be established. They demanded that the provincial assembly should send a summery to the federal government for necessary action.They said that PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif have also supported the opposition’s demand.It is pertinent to mention here that PML-N chief had said that that he was in favour of formation of new provinces of Bahawalpur and Southern Punjab.
