Summary Met office on Thursday predicted isolated dust thunderstorm/rain in different area of the country.
The office forecasted rain over upper Punjab including Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan which will continue till Saturday, however dry weather would prevail over rest of the country.Pakistan meteorological department (PMD) predicted scattered thunderstorms during the Friday evening, then variable clouds overnight with more showers at times with winds.Moreover spokesman of PMD informed that a western disturbance is likely to affect upper parts of the country that would produce isolated rains accompanied by strong gusty winds for 2-3 days over there especially in Rice growing areas. The spokesman added that farmers are advised to prepare land especially of rain fed areas on time for the sowing of coming Rabi crops especially wheat to minimize the loss in yield due to late sowing and to properly utilize the available moisture due to upcoming rains.
