When the Lahore High Court Chief Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad started hearing of the case, the mother of two sonskilled by police in an encounter Khurshid Khanum said that the police encounter occurred on the order of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif in which five youth including her two sons were shot dead.No case has been registered in any police station, she stated. Despite this, the trial court declared Shahbaz Sharif innocent.The CJ remarked that when this case was being tried in the trial court, he was an Advocate General Punjab; that is why he cannot hear the case.
