Worst traffic jams despite spending Rs 100b on roads every year

The government has purchased vehicles worth $46 billion dollars during last two months, while the common man faces severe transport problems and only one public bus is available for about 1,400 people.According to Ministry for Communication, 10.7 million vehicles are on road while about 48,000 vehicles have been added in the system every month.The car production companies have revealed that the sale of local made has been surged by 30.2 percent and 55,553 vehicles are also imported during to last two months.According to car buyers, they purchased cars due to non-availability of public transport. They said that the government should spend to improve public transport despite spending on roads construction.
