Summary Passengers are facing hardships due to late arrival and departure of trains throughout the country.
The commuters had to face inconvenience at Cannt Station Karachi as Khyber Mail Express bound to Peshawar stood still for eleven hours due to non availability of engine. Jaffar Express bound to Rawalpindi from Quetta was scheduled to reach Multan at 1:25am but arrived at 8:25am.Awam Express from Peshawar to Karachi came five hours late from its schedule time. Tezgam and Hazara Express are expected three hours late while Pakistan Express is late by four hours. Mehar and Thal Express bound to Rawalpindi from Multan were cancelled due to non-availability of engines. Late arrival, departure and even cancellation of trains due to lack of engines has become a phenomena.Travelling by train has become a nightmare for commuters while railway administration says the schedule is disturbed due to lack of engines.
