Only politicians can resolve Karachi issue: Shujaat

Addressing party workers in Gujrat on the death anniversary of Ch Zahoor Elahi, PML-Q chief Ch Shujaat Hussain said neither the PPP nor the Army or the Judiciary can singlehandedly restore peace in Karachi. He suggested that all heads of political parties should hold a conference in Karachi to find way forward. Rhetoric for point scoring would only aggravate the situation, he said.The PML-Q chief said that the Supreme Court should not have taken up the Karachi suo motu. He wondered if the court would hold a political party responsible for the law and order situation.He said that after much deliberation, the PML-Q joined the PPP in the best national interest.
