Summary Foreign Minister of Pakistan has said Kashmir dispute should be resolved under UN resolutions.
Hina Rabbani Khar, while addressing the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir (Ministerial level), said that Pakistan wanted a peaceful and just solution of the dispute.Hina Khar, who was accompanied by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said, We are grateful to OIC for support on Jammu and Kashmir adding, This gives strength to the Kashmir cause and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.She said that India had been consistently trampling the voice of Kashmiris. India has shown little regard for wishes of the Kashmiri people, she added. She also deplored the police action in Kashmir in which scores of youth have been arrested.The Foreign Minister said that Kashmiri people never lost their hopes despite operations carried out by Indian occupation forces. She said that power and violent games in occupied Kashmir must be stopped. Addressing the session, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that despite the peace talks between Pakistan and India, the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir had not changed.Highlighting the issue of the recently discovered mass graves in the occupied territory, Mirwaiz called upon the OIC to send a fact-finding group to investigate the issue, as well as the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances to conduct an investigation.The Turkish Foreign Minister, representatives from Saudi Arabia and various other member countries were present in the meeting.
