Summary Nawaz Sharif says PM Gilani should dedicate 9 to 10 billion rupees for flood relief.
Talking to the media after his meeting with Sindh National Front chief Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, Nawaz said the Prime Minister has Rs 29 billion discretionary funds, and he should dedicate at least a third of the fund for flood relief.The PML-N chief said he never yielded to international pressure on any issues, claiming that his past stood testimony to it. He said dependence on donations has become a national habit.Expressing concern over the situation in Karachi, he said reconciliation between the parties should be welcomed, but the Supreme Court orders must be fully adhered to. The culprits identified by the court must stand trial, he added.“No one should collude to cover crimes,” Nawaz said, adding that the nationalisation started in 1970 polluted the system.Mumtaz Bhutto, speaking on the occasion, welcomed Nawaz’ visit, saying the PML-N’s visit to Sindh at the time of crisis is a very positive gesture. He said the government has abandoned the masses in the hour of need. He also claimed that the Sindh government has completely failed.
