Two more people in Lahore died of dengue fever on Friday as dengue virus seemed to go beyond control of the health authorities and the government.One of the deceased was an 18-year-old Awais, a resident of Gulshan Ravi, who was admitted to a hospital two days back in a critical condition.He could not survive due to the dearth of platelets.A girl Farha, a resident of Lahore’s Gulberg area, also lost her life to dengue.The dengue fever has claimed the lives of 29 people in Lahore, besides affecting thousands of people.Meanwhile, the team of doctors came from Sri Lanka visited Services Hospital in Lahore.They took the blood samples of the patients and inquired after their health.Addressing a seminar, the visiting doctors said that it may take 10 years to get hold over dengue but the situation would get normal gradually.
