Summary Shahbaz Sharif announced allotting Social Security Hospital for patients of dengue virus.
The Punjab CM visited the hospital situated at Manga Mandi Road on Wednesday and inquired after patients.He directed the hospital administration to complete all arrangements to treat dengue patients. He also ordered that patients from General Hospital, Service Hospital and Jinnah Hospital should be shifted to Social Security Hospital.He also ordered the administration to complete the availability of blood test machines and medicines on a priority basis.Later, he visited Sharif Medical Complex where, while talking to the media, he said that dengue virus would be treated by latest medical technology imported from the UK.He said that private hospitals were also cooperating for treatment of dengue, adding that if any hospital refuses to assist the government, “we would impose section 144 against it”.He said that Sri Lankan medical experts with experience to control dengue have been invited to Pakistan and their delegation is reaching Lahore Wednesday night.He said that special medicines are also going to be imported from India for which the Federal government is being requested to give tax exemption.He claimed that dengue is a curable disease and the propagandists should avoid disseminating false stories. The Labour Secretary was accompanying the CM on the visit.
