Summary PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif says government should increase aid money for flood victims.
Addressing the media at Magsi House in Hyderabad, Nawaz said the government is paying only Rs 25,000 each household. He said it would be better if the government raises this amount to Rs 100,000.He recalled that in the last year floods, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif stayed in the flooded areas for well over two months in order to oversee relief activities. He said the example should be emulated by the authorities in Sindh.Commenting on the state of affairs in the country, Nawaz said today’s Pakistan is not so envisioned by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.Nawaz is in Sindh to pay visit to flood hit areas. He visited Badin, Nawab Shah and other areas yesterday.The PML-N chief also took a light swipe at MQM chief Altaf Hussain, saying those who call Musharraf a coward should be asked why did they side with him when he was in power. Musharraf is now passing through a difficult phase being in exile, Nawaz said, adding the MQM backed Musharraf when he was in power. Nawaz said all stakeholders need to convene a meeting in order to save the country.
