Formation of new PSO recruitment policy ordered

Committee members also criticised Federal Minister for Petroleum Asim Bukhari.A special session of the committee was held in Parliament House under the chair of Nayyar Bukhari.The committee members strictly criticised Federal Minister for Petroleum Asim Bukhari for being absent in the session. Committee member Senator Islamuddin Shaikh said that Asim Bukhari had not become a superman after getting the ministry.Senator Zahid Khan said that some people had been allocated ministries by ‘parachutes’.Senator Agha Shahid Bugti said that Dr Asim had not participated even in a single session. The committee members also expressed their anger over the letter written by the Ministry for Petroleum and termed it tantamount to insulting the Parliament. Dr Asim while expressing his stance said that he was unaware of the said letter.The Secretary Petroleum admitted the responsibility to write the letter and sought forgiveness from the committee members. The committee also directed the Sectary to submit his report after completing his enquiry report in this regard. The committee also reviewed job quota in the said Ministry allocated for the provinces.The members said that when the Prime Minster was authorised to select the MDPSO, why the rules and regulations are not implemented in the real sense.The committee also directed the Attorney General, the Secretary Establishment and the Secretary Law to prepare a new policy for recruitment in PSO within four weeks and submit it in the House.
