Summary The Interior Ministry has become a sub-institute of the UK and the USA.
Chairman Standing Committee for Interior Ministry, Talha Mahmood, said this while talking to the media after session of the Senate body.He said that absence of a single officer in the session of the standing committee was enough to prove that the Interior Ministry is superior institution than the Parliament and has no faith in democratic values.He said that he had submitted adjournment motion against the Interior Ministry according to which the responsible persons would have to face consequences.He said that some elements were endeavouring to escape the situation emerging after allegations levelled by former Sindh home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza.While showing his concern about negligence over the said standing committee, he said that the Interior Ministry had been made hostage. Hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis were lying behind bars in foreign counties but nobody was taking pain for their redemption and emancipation.Another member Haji Adeel said that it seemed to him that the Interior Minister, Interior Secretary and other officials were targeting Zulfiqar Mirza for they have nothing to do with other issues.
