A student at the Riphah International University (RIU) in Rawalpindi gunned down the vice principal of the institute when he was working in his office.He also shot injured to teachers at the campus, before shooting the vice principal.The rescue 1122 squad carried the wounded vice principal to hospital but he succumbed to injures before reaching the hospital.Army personnel seized the crime scene and investigation team started collecting evidence.The dead body of the deceased vice principal has been sent to the Combine Military Hospital, Rawalpindi for post-mortem.The perpetrator was arrested and shifted to RA Bazaar Police Station in Rawalpindi. He was enrolled in the MBBS programme of the RIU backed in 2002 and was facing difficulties in obtaining his degree. He said that he was failed repeatedly in the exams so he killed the vice principal.According to some students, the perpetrator had committed some abnormal things in the past.
