Summary Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani says role of Rehman Malik is controversial for peace process.

The former PPP provincial president was talking to the media at Sarawan House on the occasion of Chehlum of his uncle Mir Haqmal Raisani on Monday. He was flanked by MNA Mir Humayun Kurd.“If the talk of Zulfiqar Mirza is not taken seriously, then the anti-Pakistan elements would be encouraged. We are in contact with the resistant elements who are ready to join the mainstream but whenever Rehman Malik comes to Balochistan, he sabotages the negotiation process by using harsh tone. I demand the top leadership of the party to take action against him forthwith otherwise the circumstances would go beyond control,” Raisani added. He said that double standards of Rehman Malik for Balochistan and Karachi made his personality suspicious. “It is maligning Balochistan when one Baloch miscreant out of hundreds of arrested terrorists is brought to the media.” Raisani severely condemned this act of defaming the land of Balochistan. He said that the silence of PPP and other political parties on Mirza’s testimony is very meaningful. “Now is the high time for the rulers as well as politicians of the country to save either politics or the state. Promises made with the Baloch people were not realised as the steps taken by the government were only restricted to media statements. If the policies of the past would be continued then the patriotic component of the province would also proceed to the mountains following in the steps of the rebels.”He hoped that the government would not let the patriots join the trouble-makers. The problem of Balochistan is political which could be resolved through discussions in a political manner.Responding to a question, he said that Zulfiqar Mirza revealed the conspiracy to break the country. It is imperative to initiate legal proceedings under Article–6 of the constitution against those wrongdoers whom Mirza has indicated to.
