IHC fixes Swati's bail plea in controversial tweets case

ISLAMABAD ( Dunya News ) – The Islamabad High Court ( IHC ) had fixed the hearing for bail in the controversial tweet case of Senator Azam Swati. The chief justice of IHC would hear the case on Monday.

In his request, it was mentioned that Mr Azam had no intention to defame any institution and prosecution had no evidence even after the completion of investigation.

The request that the petitioner was 75 years old and suffering from heart disease and he should not be put in prison before trial.
It is to be clear that the trial court dismissed the bail application of Azam Swati on Dec 21.
