Summary At least 39 Pakistani workers were wounded in attack by African nationals in Saudi capital Riyadh.
According to information, Pakistani labourers were working in an under construction university some 15km away from Saudi capital Riyadh when some African nationals attacked them. The attack left 39 pakistanis wounded who were shifted to different hospitals in Riyadh.Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Naeem Khan, informed that 21 of injured were admitted in Obaid Hospital while 18 were shifted to King Abdullah Hospital for treatment. He also said that no arrest has been made by Saudi security agencies so for while the situation is under control after the attack.Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson, Tehmina Janjua, while talking to Dunya News informed that Saudi police and Pakistan Embassy officials reached the spot to bring the situation under control. She also said that every kind of assistance will be provided to the injured Pakistanis.
