Summary Electricity shortfall of in the country has reached up to 2,971MW.
According to the PEPCO spokesperson, demand of electricity is 18,169 MW while its production stands at 15,198 MW.The country is getting 6,189 MW from hydel, 2,106 MW from thermal, 6,724 MW from IPPs, and 179 MW from rental power plants. The supply of electricity to Karachi is 640 MW.On the other hand even after the decrease in the shortfall of electricity, unscheduled long-hour power load shedding is still continued.
