Summary The NAPRA linked the next tariff of imported power in accordance with oil price in world market.
According to a statement issued by NAPRA, raise in tariff on imported power has been made by two stages.The new tariff has been introduced as 6.25 cent per unit. Pakistan would also pay to Iran the remaining amount worth $ 11 million. So far as the burden of remaining amount is concerned; it would be imposed on consumers.NEPRA also has approved 2.5 cent per unit on power imported from Iran. It has also sanctioned hike in tariff of Gulf Rental Power Plant by 51 pesas per unit.
