Summary About NICL case, Zafar Qureshi informed NA Committee court orders have repeatedly been violated.
Qureshi recounted before the Standing Committee that he had been transferred four times and suspended thrice during investigation in violation of Supreme Court orders. He said the accused in the case had influential lawyers and that Rs 1. 7 billion had been recovered while Rs 420 million was left. He said Moonis Elahi, the son of former Punjab CM Ch Pervez Elahi, owed Rs 320 million, and not a single penny had been recovered from him.The Standing Committee ordered formation of NICL Board. It also directed the departments and officers concerned to help the FIA investigation team in every manner.An earlier report citing unnamed sources said FIA team traced links of Rs 320 million embezzled money to Moonis Elahi.
