Summary Electricity shortfall in the country has reached 3385MW.
According to PEPCO spokesperson, the country is producing 15,285MW electricity while its demand stands at 18669MW. The country is getting 1,790MW, 6,321MW, 6,968MW and 205MW electricity from thermal, hydel, IPPs and rental power plants respectively. The citizens are facing 6-8 hours power load shedding in urban areas and 8-10 hours in rural areas despite decrease in shortfall.
