Summary IRSA has slapped half a paisa surcharge on per unit of hydle power and 30 paisa per acre on abyana.
According to sources, Indus River System Authority (IRSA) will get an annual profit of Rs 140 million by imposing the surcharge on hydle power while get Rs 300 million from water surcharge.The sources said that the Law Ministry has approved the imposition of surcharge and notification in this regard will be issued in a few days.
