Summary The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rains for the upper areas of the country.
According to the PMD, rain with thunder is expected in Kashmir, Malkand, Hazara, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Gujranwala and Lahore.However the weather will remain hot and dry in other parts of the country.Scattered rain with lightning and thunder was recorded in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.Maximum rain, 30 millimeter was recorded in Mandi Bahauddin and Garhi Dopata while 29 in Murree, 25 in Muzaffarabad, 11 in Chakwal, eight in Islamabad and four millimeters of rainfall was recorded in Rawalpindi yesterday.
