Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) showed a glimpse of its popularity near the Parliament House when thousands of its supporters mostly youth joined its sit-in. The PTI chairman had named the second sit-in of the holy month of Ramzan as the ‘Jashn-e-Azadi Dharna.’ The cricketer-turned politician demonstrated his popularity by pulling a large crowd.Imran Khan has repeatedly called for active participation of youth in his on-going movement: Remove the government to save Pakistan. Addressing the gathering, Imran said that peace could not be restored in Karachi until the law enforcement agencies would be depoliticised.He said that the unfair distribution of resources is giving voice to the demand of new provinces.He opposed the military operation in Federally Administrative Tribal Areas, advising the Pakistan Army not to fight other’s war.He said that rulers were wasting taxpayers’ money in marry making.PTI had announced to stage sit-ins close to parliament on every Saturday during the month of fasting to build a momentum for its regime changing campaign.Imran and key PTI leaders sat on a stage erected close to D-Chowk in front of the President’s House.
