Missing persons: IHC directs DG ISI to submit answer

Summary Islamabad High Court has decided to continue proceedings in missing persons case.

The court has sought answer from DG ISI until August 26. The learned court has said the responsibility of the court doesn’t end by simply expressing ignorance about missing people. The said this while hearing the plea filed by relatives of Hayan Dawar Khan, Imran Yousafzai, Usama Hanif and Dr Abdul Qayyum.The court reserved the judgment on the previous hearing. The representative of the agency expressed ignorance about the missing persons. The Chief Justic Hamidur Rehman said keeping in view the situation, the proceeding of the case would continue.He also directed to send the case to Supreme Court commission on missing persons.He said in his decision the courts are bound to recover the missing persons according to the constitution and lenient view of the situation would not be taken in this regard.
