NS committee can review any law: Rabbani

Members of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security say that the committee can review any law related with the national security.Talking to the media after the meeting of the committee in Islamabad, committee chairman Senator Raza Rabbani said that the committee could asked the Senate and National Assembly standing committees to amend any law related to national security.He said that it was not compulsory for the standing committees to accept the suggestions and recommendations of the parliamentary committee.The senator said that the matter of amending army’s authority in Anti Terrorism Act was being reviewed in the Senate Standing Committee on Interior Affairs.Rabbani said that he would take Senate Standing Committee on Interior Affairs Chairman Senator Talha Mehmood into confidence on the matter.
