Weather: Widespread rains continue in Sindh

According to meteorological analysis, a monsoon weather system lies over South Rajasthan and adjoining areas in India and under the influence of this weather system, strong monsoon currents are penetrating in most parts of Sindh which have potential to produce widespread thundershowers/rains in most parts of Sindh and eastern parts of Balochistan, with possibility of isolated heavy downpour during next two days.Widespread rains/thundershowers, very heavy at times, are expected in south eastern parts of Sindh, Hyderabad & Mirpurkhas divisions while Karachi may also receive moderate to heavy thundershowers during the period.The Met office report said the possibility of localized/urban flooding in parts of Sindh and flash flooding in hill torrents of Balochistan cannot be ruled out.Isolated rain/thundershower continues in Eastern Punjab, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, divisions and Kashmir due to a lower monsoon pressure over upper and central parts of India.
