SC reinstates Zafar Qureshi as DG FIA

Three-member Supreme Court Bench headed by Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry has also handed over the investigation of NICL case to him. The learned court has reserved the judgment on the previous hearing, which was announced today. The court has said that there had been interference in the court’s matter.The court further said that media campaign regarding NICL case through advertisement was an effort to undermine the court’s authority.The court further said court would determine as to who pressurized Zafar Qurashi and ran advertisement campaign in media. Both the matters have been handed over to Justice Ghulam Rabbani and additional registrar secretary establishment and secretary information would assist him.The decision also makes it binding that no further action will be taken against Zafar Qureshi without intimating the court.
