SC seeks governments reply on OGRA chairmans appointment

The Supreme Court has given 15 days to the government to file its reply on the matter of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Chairman Tauqir Sadiq’s appointment.A three-member Supreme Court bench, headed by Justice Shakirullah Jan, heard the case of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Chairman Tauqir Sadiq’s appointment.The Counsel for the Cabinet Division told the court that if the Cabinet Division had known about the fake degree and corruption of Tauqir Sadiq, it would not have appointed him.He said that the matter was referred to the Federal Public Service Commission for inquiry.Setting 15-day’s deadline for a written reply from the government, the court adjourned the hearing.
