Summary Kharotabad probe report recommends sacking of SHO and ASI and trial of ex-CCPO.
The report has been sent to the Law Ministry for further action.A tribunal was constituted led by a judge of Balochistan High Court to investigate and fix responsibility in the incident of killings of 5 foreigners including 3 women due to firing of law enforcement agencies on May 17.On receipt of the report of this tribunal, IG Police had constituted a committee under Bashir Memon, commandant Balochistan Constabulary for initiation of departmental action. This committee has evolved its report.The committee has held SHO Fazlur Rehman and ASI Raza Muhammad responsible for Kharotabad incident and recommended that they be dismissed from service and tried under murder case.The committee has further recommended that departmental action be initiated against former CCPO Quetta Dawood Junejo and he be proceeded against under criminal act.Fresh investigation by DIG Investigation be conducted into the incident, report also recommended.
