Summary Pakistan Ordnance Boards Chairman Lieu Gen Shujaat Zameer came down on audit officers in a meeting.
The meeting was held under the supervision of Chairperson Yasmin Rahman in which the audit objections were reviewed.When the audit officers raised the issue of Rs 55 million regarding the purchase of important machinery, the Gen Sujaat Zameer said why he had not been informed before being consulted.He was a three-star general and being the chairman of the institution, he was ashamed of the media.Deputy Auditor General of Pakistan Muhammad Tahir said, “Sir You are renowned for boldness and bravery but it was not time of seeing bravery.”Such language should not be used on this platform. The chairperson continued her efforts to reconcile the issue.
