Summary Rauet-e-Halal committee has received witnesses of Ramazan moon sighting.

Dunya News also showed the moon on the screen to the public.The Rauet committee met under chair of Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman at the Karachi Met office. All regional offices of the Rauet-e-Halal held meetings in the regional headquarters simultaneously for moon sighting and collection of evidence from the members of the public. The is said to remain visible for approximately 50 minutes in parts of the country.After the meeting, Mufti Muneeb addressed a news conference and confirmed receiving evidence of moon sighting from different parts of the country.On the other hand, parts of Khyberpakhtoonkhwa and some tribal agencies observed partial fasting day on the call of Masjid Qasim Ali. Partial fasting was observed in Peshawar, Mardan and Charsadda while almost all in North Waziristan observed fasting. A session of ulema in Bannu condemned the decision to announce Ramazan before the government and called it an illegal act aimed at driving wedge between the ummah. The came down hard on Maulvi Shahabuddin for the announcement.
