CID Police has arrested seven terrorists of banned outfits of TTP (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan), Lashkar-e-Jhangavi and Lyari gang, during its raids in various parts of the City. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, SSP, CID, Chaudhry Aslam informed that four terrorists, Ahmad, Madrab Khan, Rehman and Azhar involved in cases of target killings, extortion, and terrorist activities. He also informed that during another raid police also arrested Lashkar -e-Jhangavi activists Waseen Channa from Jamshed Road. He has been alleged to have been involved in ethnic, sectarian and target killing sprees. In yet another raid police has also arrested Lyari Gang’s Abdul Razzaq commando group’s Gardobar and Liaqat , while 2 Kalashinkov rifles, 2 repeaters guns, 2 hand grenades, and other weapons were also impounded.In Kot Abdul Malik, Lahore two terrorists were also nabbed.Earlier, Islamabad Police foiled a bid of terrorists who wanted to strike at ‘Wahdat ul Muslimeen rally’ in Islamabad and also remained involved in terror activities in Swat, Khyber Agency, Dara Adam Khel as well as targeting personnel of law enforcement agencies, a police spokesman said.He said Islamabad police received information that terrorists had entered Rawalpindi and Islamabad and wanted to target ‘Wahdat ul Muslimeen rally’ in Islamabad on July 24.One survey team headed by Community Police Officer of Golra received information that one house located in ‘Meerako’ and had provided accommodation to some people who were involved in suspicious activities.Following this information, a police team raided the house and arrested four men.The team also recovered two suicide jackets, four hand grenades, three pistols and 40 rounds from them. The nabbed persons were identified as Imtiaz Ahmed, Khalilur Rehman, Ghulam Sawar resident of Multan and Madni resident of Bhawalpur, a police spokesman said.
