Summary Sharjeel Memon has said that no government representative is involved in Karachi unrest.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon visited Muttahida Qaumi Movement headquarters Nine Zero and held meetings with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Coordination Committee members.The provincial minister invited the MQM leadership to join the peace rally organised by the Pakistan People’s Party on Saturday.Muttahida Qaumi Movement Coordination Committee member Raza Haroon said that the MQM would fully participate in the peace rally in the city on Saturday, an MQM press release said.Haroon said that MQM would take every step to close the gap between the political parties for the sake of peace in Karachi.This month is reported to be the bloodiest in Karachi since 1995 with at least 200 people have already been killed.Over four days of unrest in early July, 95 people died before troops took back some areas of Karachi held by armed gangs.Hundreds of additional police and paramilitary troops were deployed last week in the city to try to quell the unrest.
