ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - World Health Organisation (WHO) appreciated Pakistan government s efforts for safe and swift operations for evacuations and airlifts from Afghanistan, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
In a statement, Dr. Ahmed Ali Mandhari, Regional Director, WHO, thanked the national airline, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and said that the timely operations by PIA saved thousands of human lives.
He thanked Government of Pakistan and PIA for their efforts to support WHO and the people of Afghanistan. "The support of the Pakistani people has been timely and life-saving," he said.
