The FIA investigation officer Hussain Asghar reportedly went missing.A six member Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of the Hajj corruption case today. Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq and FIA officials informed the court the FIA officer Hussain Asghar could not be contacted. The Chief Justice said the government is playing a hide and seek game regarding Hussain Asghar. How strange it is that an officer of IG level could not be contacted, said the CJP. DG FIA Tehsin Anwer informed the court IG Gilgat Biltistan office has said Hussain asghar has left for Islamabad, while DIG Headquarters has said he was in Skardu. He said on oath there was no pressure on him regarding Hussain Asghar and all his phone numbers are switched off. Efforts are on to contact him at Skardu rest house through wireless, he added. Justie Arif Hassan remarked it was strange that such a high official was not being contacted, and all the agencies including FIA were looking for him. The attorney general said the prime minister have been apprised of all the details of the case. He also prayed for more time until Monday for the restoration of secretary establishment. The CJP said that much time could not be given and ordered to submit the answer by tomorrow.
