Summary Federal Cabinet meeting approved Rs 2 billion Ramadan package.

Chairing the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that all concerned departments should ensure adequate supply of necessary household items in the market.The PM directed the Cabinet members for adopting effective measures to bring down the prices of essential commodities during the holy month of Ramazan.The cabinet approved the subsidy of Rs 2 billion for Utility Stores. Subsidy of Rs 14/kg has been approved for ghee/oil, Rs 10/kg for Daal Chana, white grams, Daal Moong, Dal Maash, gram flour, dates, rice (Bastmati), rice (Sella), broken rice and squashes. The subsidy of Rs 40/kg has been approved for tea. All Utility Stores will provide 10% subsidies on all the spices during Ramzan, the PM said.
