US welcome Pak-India dialogues

Summary Senior US officials encouraged the revived peace talks between Pakistan and India.

A senior US official said that the uniter states welcomed the revival of negotiations between nuclear-armed neighbors -- Pakistan and India.He said that actions against terrorism were in favor of both the countries.The official said that the US was about to start talks with Pakistani and Indian foreign and interior ministries regarding action against terrorism.He said that Hillary Clinton had a detail conversation about peace in the region when she met Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabani Kahar. Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar is going to meet her Indian counterpart in New Delhi today.During the foreign ministers level talks between the Pakistan and India, Hina will discuss Kahsmir issues, besides talking about other issues. The foreign minister met All Party Hurriyat Conference chief Mirwaiz Umar Farrooq, veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other Kashmiri leaders on the eve of foreign ministers-level talks between the two neighbours.
