Summary Different departments including Aiwan-e-Sadr have started paying outstanding electricity bills.

While Prime Minister House and Secretariat have sought time for one week for clearance of outstanding dues.Ministry of Water and Power sources said Tuesday final notices were issued to Aiwan-e-Sadr, Prime Minister Secretariat, Prime Minister House, different government departments and members of parliament, and they were to clear outstanding dues within 24 hours.62 members of parliament had their electricity disconnected due to non-clearance of pending dues. The supply was restored as majority of them had cleared their dues.Ministry of Water And Power sources said that Aiwan-e-Sadr was defaulting on Rs 12.3 million on account of electricity bills. Aiwan-e-Sadr paid all bills on receipt of final notice, and supply was not disconnected.Prime Minister Secretariat and Prime Minister House defaulted over Rs 20 million and have sought time for one week for their clearance. The federal minister has allowed one-week time on the assurance from CDA for payment of dues within the prescribed period as CDA makes payment of electricity bills of PM Secretariat and PM House.
