Hajj case: SC orders return of ex-investigation officers

Summary Chief Justice says government is diverting attention as some ministers are involved in the case.

The court has ordered to hand over the investigation to the earlier investigators. Six-member bench headed by the chief justice heard the Hajj corruption case. The court showed extreme annoyance over the absence of DG FIA from the court.CJP also remarked that pilgrims are being ripped off, while the government was trying to save the people responsible for it. Whenever there is some progress in the case, the investigators are removed, the court observed. Hussain Asghar was made IG simply to remove him from the investigation of the case, the court added.The court want him to investigate the case otherwise court will issue the order. An inquiry was to be held in four weeks against the ex-investigator Javed Bukhari but it could not be done in two months. The court warned that violators of court orders would be sent to jail.
